ROW80: Goal Amendments

Well I did say that I would be making some changes to the overall goals that were on my initial goal list:

Categories affected Include:

Business

New goals will be introduced into this category, these new goals include the following:

• Development of the Backend Control Panel: Now is the time to go all out and complete the control panel.
• Meet local businesses to see if there is demand: Arrange and meet with other local businesses for a discussion relating to Add Deal and more importantly the Boost Torbay
• Promote the concept of Boost Torbay: Promote at meetings, via the website, and through any means possible.
• Register as Self Employed Complete by the end of May/June.
• Set Up Bank Accounts (On Completion of other goals): See below

The final goal of setting up business bank accounts will only be complete once all other business goals have been complete.

Let’s roll

Future amendments may also be needed in this instance I will publish these new goals online.

ROW80: Introduction to Round 2

So with the start of the new month we are pleased to say and meet ROW80 for the 2nd round this year.  If you remember last time it was all about getting things set up for the new business, start an autobiography, join a karate class, create lots of blog posts and goodness knows what else.

The end result at the end of the 1st round was not a bad achievement, we’d like to ask you all to read our evaluation of the 1st round by clicking here.  This will help you sort of get your heads around how we started and where we ended up.  With the 2nd round starting today we’ve been thinking a lot about our new goals and what they should be.

However, we also have to think realistically and consider where we are now and where we want to be at the end of the 2nd round.  So today we will decide on those all important initial goals and complete the first post of the 2nd round.  We will also be creating a new category called ROW802.

We hope you will join us on these next few important weeks as we move further into the realms of our goals and achievements.

Open University and University Category

So with the new goals now set for the next few days, we thought it would be prudent enough for us to introduce our new category.  The new category, Open University and University is the category that is solely dedicated to the purpose of getting ourselves back to University, whether that be through the Open University, or through the University of Plymouth.

The goals for this category will be as follows:

1. Decide on the University in terms of what we would like to do, whether to go back to full time education or to go to the Open University and study the degree in my spare time.
2. Once decided on the University, start filling in the relevant application forms and complete the Student Finance documentation if required.
3. Begin the process of registration for these courses
4. Start the courses

All being well we should be all set to go by the beginning of September 2012, if not earlier.

So what shall we go for, an Open University course or head back to Plymouth University.

 

 

ROW80 Goal Alteration

Well we did say that we would alter our goals a little and so this is exactly what we are going to do.

Blogging

Our blogging goals will all stay the same, and there will be no change on the numbers.

Work

A few new goals that are now starting to become a huge part of the project, these new goals include:

• Start work on the Add Deal Control panel (CP) – this will be our man CRM System for retailers and customers to use
• Get Add Deal into 10 Online Stores before the end of the 1st Quarter 2011
• Start and complete works to our social media strategy
• An ongoing goal for the next 18 months is the building and recognition of our brand online

Open University/University

Over the next few weeks we will be spending sometime on focusing on our transition back to University.  Whether it is through the Open University or through the University of Plymouth.  Our aim is to ensure the completion of our BSc Computing degree.

We will also be looking into doing another science course, possibly Psychology.

We will also be making our very own Open University/University Category.. this will be dedicated to the sole purpose of making our way back to University.

Exercising

There will be no change to our exercising regime and as such this will remain as is.

Autobiography

There will be no change on the auto-biography frontier either.

Other

All other goals will remain the same and we will be looking forward to the coming few weeks.

#ROW80 Goals – Amended

So as you know we have been working towards and making great progress on our ROW 80 goals thus far.  We’re now going to make some adjustments as we’re hitting some goals almost every day of the week and others we’re not doing too well on.  So without further a do, take a look at the adjustments we are making to our ROW80 goals.

Blogging

1. Our initial objective was to write a minimum of 5 blog posts every week, in essence that works out at around 1 post every day during the week.  We’re going to double this amount to 10, which works out at around 2 blog posts per day.
2. Guest Posts: This will remain unchanged for the next few weeks…
3. Pages – all pages are currently up to date… this goal won’t be changing either
4. Comments our goals here will not be changing either

Autobiography

We have been thinking about it, and have decided it would be a good idea for our company owner to have his very own little online blog.  A place where he can put all his personal bits and bobs – and also a place where everyone else can gain a glimpse into the man behind Add Deal – so we’re introducing an Autobiography section into our ROW80 goals.

Good idea?? or Bad??

Work

All work goals will remain the same as they have been throughout the process of ROW80

Exercise 

Will remain a goal as well, and a schedule is going to be drawn up in a short while.

Photography

We’re still aiming to have our first new digital camera by the end of the ROW80 challenge.

Other

We’re introducing a new goal into our other category.  We have been thinking about writing a story, but we’re unsure where to begin, or even of a title.  So this week we’re going to add a new goal to our ROW80, come up with and draft a new non-fiction story.. hmmmm planning times ahead.
