Well interesting couple of days since our last check in, not only has this week seen some massive improvements in our Social Media activity but it has also seen the completion of our social media strategy. However like all weeks there are a few negatives to it all, this morning, unfortunately, my application for a new car has been declined due to my full drivers license not coming through from the DVLA, so they have asked to see a copy of this before we go any further.
Also, this week we have started the long process of packing up our current property in preparation for the move that will be taking place on the 18th of February 2012. This not only means that there is quite a bit of stress in the household but it also means we won’t be able to blog as much over the next few days.
Elsewhere, things are moving in the right direction in the OU department more on that in its relevant area, we have also made a start on getting the word out there about Add Deal Babies.

Blogging
Lets have a look at how we’re getting on here:
- Blog at least 10 times per week: Great news we have achieved a massive 4 blog posts this week thus far, and with this check in that makes it 5. We’re working quite hard towards ensuring we meet our blogging goal each week.
- Guest Blog Posts: Nothing new here, we will be writing a new guest blog post shortly.
- Pages: All pages are currently up to date, however, we have yet to work on the FAQ page, we will be completing this over the coming few days.
- Comments: Sorry guys we haven’t really been commenting as much, we have a lot going on at the moment and hence why we haven’t been able to get round to it. We will be making a more decisive effort over the next few days.
Business
As we said last week that the title of this category will be changing from work to business, you can now see the alteration and we’re happy to go onto discuss our goals:
- Complete goals as set out in the business plan: Only goal completed this week is to ensure we have a social media strategy in place.
- Have at least 5 new users signing up a day: No movement here
- Launch Add Deal Babies.com: Still not launched, however, development has increased in this area, we have also purchased a new VPS server specifically for Add Deal Babies, the website should be going live in a couple of weeks.
- Make arrangements for cards to be printed: We have spoken to our card manufacturers relating to card numbers, i.e. the numbers on the front of the card. We’re happy to confirm that these will be of any numerical order we wish…
- Develop Add Deal.tv: No movement here
- Set up Business Bank Accounts: No movement on this frontier as yet, due to us focusing on other areas of the project.
- Offer Add Deal for Free: No movement here either as yet
- Start work on Add Deal CP: Holding page is online – however no further movement
- Get Add Deal into 10 online stores: No movement here
- Start and complete Social Media Strategy: The social media strategy has been completed and we will be making a start on ensuring the continuous development and implementation of the strategy. We won’t be publishing our strategy, however it will form an essential part of our marking plan.
- Build recognition of the brand: Lots of movement here with the securing of 4 new domain names including: adddeal.net, adddeal.org, adddeal.info and adddeal.eu. This will ensure the continuous development and security of the Add Deal brand.
Exercising
Due to the move we are going to leave our exercising until we have moved into the new property. The move will be taking place on the 17th of February 2012. The Wii and Wii Fit have already been packed away so will not be coming out until the end of the move.
However we will still be walking to meet the partner from work etc.

Autobiography
Unfortunately we still haven’t got round to doing this just yet, however it is on our list of things to do over the coming few days.
Open University
This week we have not only completed our financial forms and been informed that we are entitled to a full award, but we have also started researching some of the material required for the completion of the module. Our official degree title will be BSc Computing and Psychology.
All we need to do now is send in the completed financial forms to the OU along with relevant evidence of our income and finally get someone official to sign it and all being well we should be starting our first module for the Open University in May 2012.
We’re really excited by the new developments.
Other
E-Mail: All of our e-mails folders and the inbox is looking pretty tidy, everything is being filed away nicely and we have quite a clear and concise inbox.
Music: No new tracks this week – funds have been a little tighter than normal.
Films: We still have to watch Hanna – which is the last of the films that we rented on Friday night.
TV Series: As always we watched the first episode of Being Human – which was pretty good although quite a sad ending. We also watched Whitechapel – which is an excellent series if you like thrillers/crime themed programs. Finally, last night we watched our first episode of a business program, the name unfortunately has eluded our memory.
Quite a lot of interesting developments on the TV series frontier.
Phew!!! Quite a lot of developments and certainly plenty of things going on. We’re quite sad that the car has been delayed, however we suppose this can’t be helped. We’re also quite pleased about the packing away of the house in preparation for the move in just a weeks time.
Next week is half term week here in the UK, which means the kids are off school. Packing + Children normally does not equal a stress free half term. However, we’re hoping that with this blog and the various attributes that go with it we will be able to ensure we have some form of calm within the week.
